BUSINESS PLAN
Now that we have mostly completed the restoration of the Historic Eamon’s Garage along with many of the display items, it is time to look forward to the future. That's where our Business Plan comes into play. It lays out our goals and stages in a three-year plan to make realistic steps toward the construction of an automobile museum and workshop addition.
The proposed building plan is to construct an approximate 3000 square foot building to the south of the Eamon’s Garage Museum directly behind and attached to the washroom addition. The purpose of the proposed building is to house a 24 foot by 26-foot workshop, approximately six to seven vintage automobiles which will be either owned by the museum or on loan from private owners along with vintage service station display items and automobilia. In addition to the static museum display the building will also be used for community support and educational programs as it relates to our mission.
ABOUT US
River City Classics is a group of automobile enthusiasts based in the beautiful Town of High River, Alberta who have obtained the Historic Eamon’s Garage from the City of Calgary, restored it and now run it as a museum. We promote our museum and the history of vintage and classic vehicles through tours, car shows and other fundraisers. We are a not-for-profit organization, and we pride ourselves on giving back to the community that has supported our efforts and members.
Car Clubs and Other Groups are welcome to tour or host events at the Garage Museum.
The Museum is open to the public for individuals and group tours for admission by donation. This allows us to showcase the history of the Eamon’s Garage and Tourist Centre and the display of a typical service station’s tools and equipment and how a typical Texaco service station of the 1950’s and 60’s operated. Each summer in August the Society hosts a Kids Kamp where kids ages 6 to 13 years are invited to come out with their parents tour the museum, judge vintage collector cars and have an opportunity to ride in a vintage car around the museum property. Cars are supplied by volunteers.
