Youth Automotive Mechanics Opportunity

Building Skills. Preserving History. Connecting Generations.

River City Revival, a subgroup connected to River City
Classics and Eamon’s Garage Historical Society, is proud to introduce a free, hands-on introductory automotive mechanics experience for young men and women
ages 14–17.

Our goal is to introduce the next generation(s) to the fundamentals of automotive mechanics through practical experience, shared knowledge, and an appreciation for automotive history. We’re kicking things off with an iconic piece of American automotive engineering: the General Motors 350-cubic-inch V8 engine.

Participants will explore how an engine works, learn about its individual components, and take part in the process of disassembly, inspection, and rebuilding.

This  experience is more than just turning wrenches. It’s about developing confidence, learning practical skills, exploring potential career paths, and discovering the satisfaction that comes from understanding how things work.

It also offers an affordable starting point for parents who want to share an automotive project with their son or daughter.

Rather than facing the considerable initial expense of purchasing a project vehicle , families can begin by learning the fundamentals together in a supportive environment.

No previous mechanical experience is necessary. Just an interest in learning, a willingness to get involved, and a curiosity about what lies beneath the hood. Through River City Revival, we hope to inspire a new generation of automotive enthusiasts, family involvement, and keep the knowledge and passion for mechanical craftsmanship alive.

Joiin us every Wednesday at 7pm at Eamon's Garage located at 64137 Hwy 543 east High River

Because sometimes, the best projects aren’t just about what we build — they’re about who we build it with.
